Edward Payne, Director

Edward Payne

Principal and Founder

I have over twenty years of experience in senior roles with a range of well known financial services brands including Halifax, Yorkshire Building Society, Bank of Ireland and Friends Life.

I set up Clifton Mortgages because I felt that financial services was too siloed and too transactional and customers deserved better.

I believe in providing a tailored, professional service to all of my customers. I do this by taking a thorough and holistic view, of not only your present needs but also of your long term, broader requirements and circumstances.

I will use all of my experience and contacts to give you the best possible advice and the best possible service, both now and in the years to come.

As well as being a fully qualified mortgage and equity release adviser, I am a also a law graduate and will ensure that my broad skills and experience are used to consider all aspects of your personal circumstances and the market when advising you.

With over 20 years of experience working within financial services predominantly in the mortgage sector and have a degree in Real Estate. I have a wealth of experience to call upon when offering advice and guidance to clients.

I believe it is important to offer solutions that meet a client’s immediate needs whilst taking into account the longer-term aspirations and inevitable changes in circumstance going forward, so any advice given is fit for purpose in the short, medium and long term.

I have been in a relationship for 27 years and have two grown up children. In my spare time I enjoy all sport, I keep fit by running on a regular basis and I love watching films and going to concerts when I have the opportunity.
