Edward Payne

Principal and Founder

I have over twenty years of experience in senior roles with a range of well known financial services brands including Halifax, Yorkshire Building Society, Bank of Ireland and Friends Life.

I set up Clifton Mortgages because I felt that financial services was too siloed and too transactional and customers deserved better.

I believe in providing a tailored, professional service to all of my customers. I do this by taking a thorough and holistic view, of not only your present needs but also of your long term, broader requirements and circumstances.

I will use all of my experience and contacts to give you the best possible advice and the best possible service, both now and in the years to come.

As well as being a fully qualified mortgage and equity release adviser, I am a also a law graduate and will ensure that my broad skills and experience are used to consider all aspects of your personal circumstances and the market when advising you.

Matt Kingston

With over 20 years of experience with some of the largest financial services companies in the UK, including Aviva, Bank of Ireland and Jelf Group, I have a broad view of financial services which I use to help my clients make the right decisions.

Helping people is at the heart of everything I do. Whether it's finding the right mortgage for customers buying the first home, specialist buy to let advice or choosing the right protection product for you and your family.

As well as holding the Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice I also hold the Chartered Insurance Institute's Equity Release qualification.

Being born and bred in Bristol I understand the challenges of the local housing market and have a broad range of contacts to call upon.
